Slowcation
Taking it down a notch. No tight schedule, just enjoy not having to do anything. No endless list of places to check off, no quick-fix adrenaline-inducing adventures, but immersing yourself with full attention in the place where you are.
It can be far away, but it can also be close by. And perhaps close by is the best option for a slowcation, because when you stay in your own country, by definition there is no endless list of sights to see - after all, you (most likely) already know them. And while there is, of course, plenty to explore in your own country, adventure is often right around the corner. After all, how adventurous is it to discover a place in detail?
While staying at Tiny Hotel, located in northern Brabant, the essence of a slowcation truly comes alive. Waking up without an alarm clock. Enjoying a cup of coffee in front of a window so big that it draws nature inside. Or just on the porch, surrounded by the smell of the forest. Cooking together outside under a sky full of stars. Taking in the elements with full attention. Breathing deeply and merging with your surroundings.
This is how a vacation becomes slower. More meaningful. Smaller, yet bigger, with memories that stay with you forever. Memories, not of great adventures or discoveries, but of the feeling a slowcation will bring to you.
