Dara
Restaurant Dara is located in a striking building near the historic city gate of Amersfoort. The ‘fairytale castle’ was designed by the multiple acclaimed architectural firm FAT (fashion architecture taste) from Londen. The client of the building Schipper Bosch wanted to connect the medieval city walls with the 19th century canal houses at this spot in the city center of Amersfoort in a contemporary and daring way. Metropolitan and high-profile, the building is without a doubt and thus already immortalized for Amersfoort.
Dara is an unmissable meeting place on the Eemhaven in Amersfoort and has a contemporary Oriental touch. The restaurant serves distinctly international dishes from Southern Europe, the Middle East and even Asia. When you dine at Dara you have a choice of a wide range of mezzes, dainty little dishes from around the world. You can visit Dara daily for lunch, dinner or a drink. The menu consists of both traditional and modern dishes and this is reflected in the design and atmosphere of Dara. In the center of the building is a beautiful concrete staircase, hewn from a single piece of concrete of 20 tons. The interior breathes a modern Oriental atmosphere and is composed and created by designers and design labels such as Arco, Studio Zand, Sjoerd Vroonland, FAT and Weltevree.
