De Picket Chair met armleuningen, ontworpen door Michael Schoner, kenmerkt zich door een opvallend detail: de zitting en rugleuning kruisen elkaar op een speelse manier. Hierdoor ontstaat de illusie dat onderdelen van de stoel lijken te zweven. Voor deze versie van de Picket Chair zijn armleuningen toegevoegd aan het oorspronkelijke ontwerp om extra comfort te bieden. Vervaardigd uit geolied bamboe is de stoel ontworpen voor langdurig comfort en duurzaamheid, en geschikt voor zowel binnen- als buitengebruik.

Schoner stelde zichzelf een eenvoudige, maar ambitieuze vraag: "Kan ik een stoel ontwerpen met planken van één enkele standaardmaat?" Met de Picket Chair geeft hij een overtuigend antwoord – en laat hij zien dat eenvoud bijzonder krachtig kan zijn.

Strak design: De Picket Chair is volledig opgebouwd uit planken van één formaat. Ook de armleuningen volgen consequent dit concept en ontwerp.

Lange levensduur: Dankzij het geoliede bamboe is de Picket Chair ontworpen om jarenlang mee te gaan.

Voor binnen & buiten: De Picket Chair is zowel binnen als buiten te gebruiken. Maak de stoel nog comfortabeler met de speciaal voor de Picket Chairs ontwikkelde kussenset (geschikt voor uitvoeringen met of zonder armleuningen).

2. Should you order a seat cushion as well?
Ergonomics have been taken into account in the design. This makes the Picket Chair comfortable even without a cushion. However, for longer periods of sitting, or for anyone who prefers a soft seat, it is possible to add the cushion set for 49 euros.

Design Feature

The seat and backrest intersect in an unexpected way. This way the design creates the illusion that elements of the chair are floating.

The Cushion

Strong polyester joints are used in the assembly of the field chair. These hold the beams together while leaving narrow gaps between them. As a result, the Fieldchair offers you more comfort. The joints between the bottom of the seat and the backrest create enough space to fold the chair into a compact form that you easily store.

A LOOP TO TIE IT ALL TOGETHER

At the front of the seat is a strong loop made of textile. This loop is strong enough to support the weight of the Fieldchair when hung on a hook or carried by hand.
